I did some good training rides during vacation last week in preparation for my C&O Canal ride for cancer and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.  However, today was a real test.  I rode 32 miles on the towpath and felt pretty good doing it while averaging 5:06/mile.

Only a month left until the big ride.  Still not sure how I’ll feel doing 60+ miles/day.  But after today I feel much better now about what it will take.  Tomorrow is mom’s birthday and I will be thinking of her.  If you’d like to support my ride and the LAF’s efforts to fight cancer, go to:  http://www.livestrong.org/grassroots2009/bob_herr_bike_ride

Reminder:  the 96th Tour de France begins tomorrow!  Go Lance, Levi, George, Alberto, CHristian, and Tyler.   You can follow it on letour.com and versus.com.
